Meet Cassie Harberts – Nominee to Good Works Team

USC senior forward Cassie Harberts has already been named among collegial basketball’s elite, however the forward hasmore than simply basketball skills that set her apart. A educator Watch List member and preseason Award preseason thirty honoree, Harberts was recently named a candidate for the 2014 Allstate WBCA and NABC good Works Team.

Harberts is majoring in human performance and minoring in nutrition and health promotion. She could be a two-time Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention recipient and holds a 3.23 GPA. Last season, Harberts was a candidate for CoSIDA academic All-American honors. A three-time team captain, Harberts has shown a gift for leadership on and off the court throughout her career. A caring and devoted teammate, she is consistently encouraging her team throughout games and practices. She has not missed a game throughout her career, beginning each single one of USC’s games since she arrived as a freshman, and sometimes plays the most minutes during a game. Willing to place the team on her back once necessary, she still remains totally humble and substantiating of her teammates and coaches. Even throughout her busy summer of coaching and travel with the us World University Games Team, Cassie continuing to figure as an intern at the Champions Quest youth coaching center.

 

Harberts is the centerpiece of the USC team and has established herself as one of USC’s top players all-time, it will be interesting to see where she goes in the draft!
