As first reported by Mel Greenberg on Twitter, the WNBA Draft lottery has been set for September 26 during the 6 p.m. EDT edition of Sportscenter on ESPN.
For those unfamiliar with the process, the winner of the lottery receives the top pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft scheduled for April. By virtue of being eliminated from the playoffs, the Phoenix Mercury, Tulsa Shock, and Washington Mystics have been eliminated from playoff contention in 2012 and will participate in the Lottery. The fourth team will very likely be either the Chicago Sky or New York Liberty, depending on who misses the playoffs.
